Lake Calamone
Lake Calamone or Ventasso Lake is a small lake of glacial origin and it’s one of the most evocative and appealing places in our Appennine mountains. The easy trail to reach it makes it a place accessible to everyone.
Lake Pranda
Lake Pranda is the largest of the four lakes “cerretani” (situated in Cerreto). It’s sorrounded by greenery and beech trees. In Summer it’s the perfect place for a pic-nic, whereas in Winter it becomes the favourite place of the climbing-enthusiasts.




Fonti di Poiano – Poiano’s Spring
The Fonti di Poiano is one of the most significant karstic springs in the Emilia-Romagna region, located in the municipality of Villa Minozzo. This fascinating natural site is known for its high-salinity waters, its unique geological features, and its important ecological role within the Triassic Gypsum formations.
Castle of Carpineti
The Castle of Carpineti is a medieval fortress in the Appennine mountains. The castle is reachable by car, with parking nearby, followed by a short walk to the site. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, historical reenactments, and events, including private ceremonies.





Pietra di Bismantova
Pietra di Bismantova is a striking sandstone rock formation located near Castelnovo ne’ Monti. Its flat-topped shape, resembling a ship, makes it one of the most recognizable natural landmarks in the Apennine Mountains. The plateau at the top provides stunning panoramic views, making it a popular destination for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers.
Gessi Triassici – Triassic Gypsum Formations
The Gessi Triassici (Triassic Gypsum) is a unique geological formation located mainly in the Val Secchia area, between the municipalities of Castelnovo ne’ Monti, Villa Minozzo, and Ventasso. These formations date back over 200 million years, making them some of the oldest geological features in the northern Apennines.
